Obong Akan Udofia.

The attention of AKANIMO UDOFIA MEDIA SUPPORTERS GROUP has been drawn to a letter written by the Attorney General of Akwa Ibom State and Commissioner for Justice, Prof Uko Essien Udom (SAN) wherein he threatened to sue our Principal, Obong Akanimo Udofia, who happens to be the Akwa Ibom APC 2023 Gubernatorial Candidate for the forthcoming Governorship election.

It is rather laughable for the Chief Law Officer of the State to condescend to attending to frivolities when there are other issues of importance left unattended in the state.

Prof, we see your letter as a gross abuse of your office. Whatever investment is made to birth IBOM AIR is from our common patrimony (the money of Akwa Ibom people. Akwa Ibom people are part-owners of that investment in IBOM AIR.

Governor Udom Emmanuel did not bring out the money from his pocket to float IBOM AIR, it is our commonwealth, the wealth of all Akwa Ibom people.

We quite understand your intent; trying to please your paymaster, otherwise, what should bother you is the contribution your office should make to set the state on a path of honour.

You would have been dutiful enough in the first instance to write a memo to Governor Udom Emmanuel, advising him to visit Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area and see what a private sector driven entrepreneur and an internationally renowned businessperson, filled with passionate for development has done to uplifting the welfare of Akwa Ibom students studying in the University.

Mr. Attorney General, rather than bother yourself about writing threat letters against Obong Akanimo Asuquo Udofia (OAU), do well by picking up that same ink, write letters to your boss to go and commission the University Postgraduate 105 Bed Hotel Accommodation, built, completed in 2019 at a cost of nearly two billion Naira (N2 billion) and donated by Obong Akanimo Udofia.

Be sympathetic to the cause of educating Akwaibomites who yearn for knowledge, have mercy on those homeless and suffering children.

OBONG AKANIMO ASUQUO UDOFIA has contributed immensely to the growth, development, and advancement of this state, that is what you should seek to emulate and promote.

Allow those who have the interest of Akwa Ibom State to continue to assist in bringing progressive development to the state through their innovative ideas.

Save your honour.
