The Honda Management team led by the Managing Director, Mr Takashi Nakajima, on Tuesday 30th May, 2023, presented the new Nigerian built Honda HRV to the Director General, Nigeria Automotive Design and Development Council, NADDC, Jelani Aliyu, MFR, at the Council’s Headquarters in Abuja.

While making a demonstration of the vehicle, Mr Remi Adams, the company’s Sales Manager, explained that the vehicle was produced in Otta, Ogun State and is designed with versatility and precision for Nigerian roads.

In his remarks, Mr Jelani Aliyu said “This is yet another milestone for the Nigerian Automotive Sector, these Honda vehicles are of the same standards as any high quality vehicle produced anywhere in the world, and we will continue to support local production in line with the NAIDP, the National Automotive Industry Development Plan”

He added, “The NAIDP is a set of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, programmes and initiatives to support exponential growth in the production of world-class automobiles in Nigeria, such as this new 2023 Honda HRV, in the march towards creating 1 million jobs in the Nigerian Auto sector.”
