Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has said that the state is ready to host President Muhammadu Buhari, as well as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, in Lafia on Saturday.

The Governor made the disclosure in Lafia on Friday while speaking with newsmen shortly after inspecting some facilities to be commissioned by the President.

He said, “I think we are 90 percent ready. The President is coming for an official visit where he is going to commission some projects, including the Federal secretariat which will be named after one of our prominent sons here in the state.

“Then there is going to be the Agricultural Machinery Development Institute (AMEDI), built by the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, which Mr President holds very dear to himself because he is the Chairman of NASENI. That is also going to be ready.”

On the planned presidential campaign rally for Tinubu, the Governor said, Nasarawa State being an APC state, was leaving no stone unturned in order to support the party’s presidential candidate.

“You know that Nasarawa is an APC state and there are a lot of people that when they hear that our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice, Senator Kashim Shettima are in town, they would come out to receive them.

“But on our own, we are not taking things for granted. We are mobilising a lot of people from other local government areas who are willing to come and welcome them and they are going to be part of it.

“The committee that is being chaired by the Deputy Governor, is working round the clock to ensure that everything is set. From all indications, we are ready to go,” the Governor added.
