The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, Ondo state chapter has condemned the terror attack on a Catholic in the ancient town of Owo.

The state chairman of MACBAN, Alhaji Garba Bello said the entire Hausa Fulani community in Ondo state received the news with rude shock and totally not in support of such dastard act.

Alhaji Garba Bello charged government to go all out after those behind the evil act and bring them to book .

He said the entire Hausa Fulani community across the state have enjoyed mutual coexistence with their host communities in the past and will not in anyway indulge in evil acts that can truncate such rare privilege.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria police, Ondo state command has vowed to bring to justice those behind the terror attack on the Catholic church in Owo.

The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Mr. Adesoye Oyeyemi, said it plainly barbaric for some armed militia suspected to be of Fulani descents to attack a Catholic Church on Sunday while service was going on and thereby killed many worshippers and injured several others.

Through a press release, the Ondo police command described the incident as barbaric and unfortunate which must not be allowed to go unaddressed.

The CP while commiserating with the Church, family of the deceased, the People of Owo and Ondo State Government, has ordered immediate deployment of Armed and Specialised Policemen to the area to restore normalcy and fortify the entire community.

The CP has equally ordered forensic investigation into the attack to ascertain the actual or remote cause(s) of the attack and for immediate arrest of the assailants as all hands are deck to forestall any similar attack in any part of the State.
