The judge of the FHC, Danlami Senchi, gave the orders following an application of interlocutory injunction asking the court to suspend Oshiomhole, having been suspended as a member of the APC by the party in Edo State.

The application was filed by Oluwale Afolabi.

Afolabi in his application dated and filed on January 16, contended that Oshiomhole is currently suspended by the party and has not challenged the suspension.

Oshiomhole was controversially suspended by the APC in Edo State after he was suspended by the party’s leadership in his ward in the state.

However, a Federal High Court in Kano on Thursday, 5th March issued an interim order stopping the suspension of party chairman.

The court told parties involved in the case to maintain status quo ante bellum pending the court’s final decision.

The judge, A. Lewis-Allagoa, gave the ruling following an application by one Aliyu Rabiu asking the court to stop the APC and INEC from effecting Oshiomhole’s suspension.

The application specifically asked the court to stop those involved in the matter from giving effect to the resolution of the APC helmsman’s ward to suspend him in 2019.

There has been great confusion in the APC following the suspension of its national chairman.

The leader of the party, Alhaji Bola Tinubu, said on Sunday that those behind Oshiomhole’s suspension were desperate about 2023 election.
