The Niger Delta Leaders and Stakeholders Forum (NDLSF) has said that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, is wrongly profiled and persecuted by a cabal in the party.

NDLSF also thrown weight behind the embattled National Chairman of the (APC), Adams Oshiomhole and passed vote of confidence on his leadership.

The forum stated this at a meeting held at Green Villa, Tuomo Kingdom in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta state, on Wednesday March 11th 2020.

In a communique issued after rigorous deliberations of issues affecting the party, signed the convener High Chief Loyibo, and Chief Wellington Okrika, the forum says it is disappointed in the conduct of the party.

The communique reads:

“This Forum is disappointed because the national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has been wrongly profiled and persecuted by a cabal in the party.

“Members of the cabal comprised some aggrieved APC governors who have presidential ambitions in 2023 and have mischievously portrayed Oshiomhole as a stumbling block to the realization of their ambitions.

“As a group, we pass a vote of confidence on his leadership and we want to state clearly that we will resist any attempt to unjustly remove him from office. He is one of the best we have in the region.

“We also warn all sons of the region being used by outsiders to fight Oshiomhole to desist forthwith or they will face the wrath of the people of the Niger Delta.

“As a Forum, we will drag Justice Danlami Senchi before the National Judicial Council (NJC) over the judgment delivered on the national chairman because we see it as a procured judgment”.

The forum however, commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his unwavering confidence and trust in Oshiomhole’s leadership, stressing with Oshiomhole the party would be stronger in the Niger Delta.
