Ondo State Governor, Mr Arakunrin Akeredolu, has visited a scene of a Sunday night fire outbreak at Oba Nla, Akure.
Akeredolu visited the scene of the incident on Monday and sympathized with the victims, assuring that his administration will overhaul the state fire service for effective performance.
The Governor promised to render assistance to victims whose shops were razed by the inferno.
Akeredolu announced that the State Emergency Management Agency would be mandated to assess the level of damage with a view to compensate the victims.
