The Local Authority in Jos North Local Government has deployed over 40 members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria and Neighborhood Watch to block the Inter -state road from Jos to Bauchi state.
The Management Committee Chairman of Jos North local government area, Shehu Usman asked the task force to block entry points from Babale in Jos North to Bauchi state and tasked them to complement the efforts of the state task force to adequately safeguard citizens of the locality from contracting the COVID -19 disease.

The Chairman, in company of the State Commissioner for Special Duties, Irimiya Werr urged the team to be law abiding in the discharge of their duties.
The Chairman equally ordered the closure of all motor parks in Jos North Local Government area and urged members of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers to adhere strictly to the council’s directive as a measure to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the area.
