The Police decoy squad in Delta state has arrested two suspects who are alleged to be a supplier of cartridges to kidnappers, armed robbers and cultists.

Police spokesperson in Delta State, DSP Bright Edafe, said one Chinedu Enenmo, male 37 years from Akere Ogidi, Ogbaru local government area, Anambra state was arrested in a hotel in Asaba.

He led the decoy squad to Fegge area of Onitsha, Anambra State, where one Donatus Ndukan, male, 34 years from Urom community, Akwa-North local government area, whom he described as his “boss”.

“The operatives led by the commander Decoy squad, ASP Julius Robinson embarked on a smart operation on 8th May at about 9p.m, and arrested one Chinedu Enenmo ‘m’ 37yrs of Akere Ogidi, Ogbaru LGA Anambra state at their hideout in one of the popular hotel in Asaba, where they vegetate and carry out their immoral activities.”

The police said 250 rounds of live cartridges were recovered from Enenmo.

DSP Edafe said the Commissioner of Police, Wale Abass, has commended the squad for their effort, urged them to live above board.

The CP assured residents of the state that the police command is resolute to fight against crime and criminality while suing for cooperation from members of the public especially during stop and search operations.
