The Lagos state Police command says it has arrested two of her officers, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Adebayo Ojo and Sergeant Adeleke Mojisola, for extortion.
The officers were arrested after a woman claimed in a video that trended on social media that the police officers extorted money from her after impounding her car.
A statement by Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos state, DSP Bala Elkana, says the attention of the police command was drawn to the video on social media.

Elkana said after analysing the video, the officers mentioned were identified and arrested.
The officers, ASP Adebayo Ojo and Sergeant Adeleke Mojisola, were working as Divisional Traffic Officers (DTO) at Agbowa division, Lagos state.
The PPRO said the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered in depth investigation into the case.

He said the police command appreciates the courage of the complainant and other well meaning citizens who forwarded the video to the police social media page, urging the complainant to report the case at the command headquarters Ikeja to enable the command conclude investigation.
Elkana promised that the public will be updated on the outcome of the investigation.
