Only God made me survive 2019 rugged politics -Omo-Agege

Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege on Sunday 23rd February, said the politics of his reelection in 2019 was “rugged”.

Senator Omo-Agege disclosed this at his thanksgiving held at Mother of Redeemer Catholic Church, Effurun, near Warri Delta state, saying that it was only God that made it possible for him to survive the rugged nature of 2019 politics and subsequently emerged the Deputy President of the senate.

He said the political landmines that were laid for him, particularly in Delta state were surmounted only by the grace of God and critical roles played by people God used to elevate him.

Roll call of dignitaries at the thanksgiving mass which started at 10:45am include: Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Senator Hope Uzodinma, Governor of Imo State; Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State.

Other were, Governor Nyesom Wike of River State; Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Governor of Jigawa State; Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-rufai.

Other personalities were, APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole; Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva; Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senate George Akume; Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, Festus Keyamo; immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, former Delta Assembly Speaker, Engr. Victor Ochei.

Also in attendance were: Senators Ibikunle Amosun, James Manager, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh (NDDC, EDP), Rev. Francis Waive, among other top Government functionaries.
