The leadership of National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN has endorsed Senator Tanko Almakura for the position of the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Almakura’s endorsement followed the overwhelming support and confidence stakeholders in the North Central reposed on his capacity to lead the party well if elected as national chairman in the forthcoming convention.
It was Comrade Jaafaru Loko, NYCN State Chairman who disclosed this on Monday in a press statement saying that the youths resolution to endorse Senator Almakura is for the general interest of the people of Nasarawa and the entire country.
NYCN Chairman further buttressed that Almakura’s quality representation is traced back to when he was governor of Nasarawa state and how he successfully run the party in Nasarawa and was rated among other few States that conducted the most free, fair, credible and peaceful congress in 2018.
He also said that Senator Almakura has good character, has the required qualities that can make a good APC national chairman, more so that he was one of the brains behind the formation of APC as he was the only governor from the defunct CPC during the merger negotiations were made.

Comrade Loko noted that the ANPP and the ACN blocks of the APC through the leadership of Chief John Odigie Oyegun and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole had all tested the position of national chairman of the party.
“The CPC block should be given a fair opportunity to serve the party also and Almakura as the only governor from the defunct CPC will fit into the position.” He added.
It is on this note that the NYCN Chairman is calling on youths groups across the nation and in Nasarawa to support Senator Almakura massively noting that his victory would be victory for all.

Comrade Loko appreciated the governor of Nasarawa state, said His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi Sule is the most youth friendly governor in the country, for his determination to revive and industrialise Nasarawa state with the constructions of the bus terminal on both Kefi and Lafia, lauded the governor’s effort in ensuring peace and communal coexistence in the state.
