Nasarawa State Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule has promised to pay all outstanding salaries of Local Government staff in the state.

The Governor made the pleadge on Thursday when he paid a visit to the palace of the Emir of Nasarawa, Alhaji Ibrahim Jibril.

Sule said that clearing the local government staff salary would also improve on the standard of living of the local government staff and promote peace in their various councils.

“I know that some local government staff are owed salaries for two months. By God’s grace, the state government will soon clear all the outstanding salaries.

“They should exercise more patience, my administration is doing its best in improving on the welfare of civil servants in the state”, he said.

Responding, the Emir of Nasarawa, Alhaji Jibril appreciated Governor Sule for the visit and his efforts in developing the state.

He thanked the governor for his developmental strides in the area of security, education, health and roads construction towards improving on the lives of residents of the state.

It is worthy of note that Governor Abdullahi Sule is on a meet-the-people tour across all Local Government Areas of the state as part of activities to mark his second year in office.
