Senior Police Officers across Nigeria are converging in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital, for a-two day conference and retreat.
The conference with the theme, “The new police vision: A roadmap to stabilizing internal security”, will hold at the Ibom Icon hotel and Golf resort, in the outskirts of Uyo.
The event will hold between Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th February 2022.
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, the Minister of Police Affairs, Mr. Mohammed Dingyadi, DIGs, AIGs, Commissioners of Police, top commanders of special units within the Nigeria Police Force have arrived Uyo ahead of the conference and retreat.

At a brief cocktail and dinner on Monday evening, the IGP welcomed the Minister of Police Affairs, resource persons, and participants to Uyo, saying that the conference will help the Police Force chart a new course towards improving internal security in the country in line with its new vision.
The conference will start today, Tuesday 8th February by 10a.m and will be declared opened by President Muhammadu Buhari.
