The four students of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) kidnapped last Thursday by gunmen have regained freedom.
They were abducted outside the University premises.
A statement by head of Information and Public Relations Unit of the institution, Abubakar Ibrahim, confirmed they were released on Saturday evening.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof Shehu Abdul Rahman, expressed gratitude to Nasarawa State Government and the general public for their contribution, prayers and support during the trying moment.
The VC specifically appreciated the security agencies for their timely intervention that led to the quick and safe return of the students.
He said the abducted students have undergone medical checks and found to be in good condition to immediately resume their studies.
Prof Abdul Rahman called on the students to remain calm and go about their normal activities without fear.
