All is now set for the celebration of the One year Anniversary of HRH Miskoom Fidelis Longtoe Attahiru I on the throne of Long Kwo of Kwo Chiefdom.

The event will take place at Kwande, the capital of the Chiefdom, and will feature Thanksgiving Mass, investiture of some personalities, and the commissioning of a remodeled magistrate Court.

A statement by Long Ngwai Stephen Sarki Musa, the Chairman of the Media and Protocol Sub Committee indicates the two the event will commence on Friday, April 29 with the Commissioning of remodeled Magistrate court by the Chief Judge of Plateau State Justice David G. Mann.

According to Long Ngwai Musa, on Saturday, April 30, 2022, a Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated at the St. John Mary Vianney Catholic Church, Kwande, to be presided over by Bishops Philip Dung and Hilary Dachelem of the Catholic Dioceses of Shendam and Bauchi, respectively.

The statement further stated, the climax of the celebration will commenced immediately after Mass with the investiture of Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State as the Patwarang (Emancipator) of Kwo land; his wife, Mrs Regina Lalong, Noen Loekoek (Mother of Orphans); His Excellency Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr Emmanuel Akabe as La Kwo (Son of Kwo) and Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi as the Goesha Loekoek (Friend of Orphans) of Kwo.

The ceremony, which will be under the chairmanship of Hon. Munnir Babba Dan Agundi, Member representing Kombotso Federal Constituency, Kano in the National Assembly, will host Rt. Hon. Idris Maje Wase, Deputy Speaker House of Representatives as Son of Honour as well as the Investitures of Sir Joseph Ari, as the Kurnajam (Defence Minister) of Kwo; Prof. Hamidu Garba Sharubutu, Longmar (Sarkin Noma); Prof. Sebastian Maimako, Long A’an (Dan Masani); Nda Fabian Ntung, Gwaat Long (Garkuwa) and Dr. Godfrey Bawa Shitgurum as Duam Long (Jagaba)

Others to be invested are Nna Elizabeth Petkwap Wapmuk, Mialap Long (Zinariya); Barr. Paschal Mammo, Longshep (Chief Judge) Kwo land; Christopher B. Maiyaki Wei Long (Waziri); Ambassador Martin Adamu Jnr, (Marafa) Prof Theodore B. Maiyaki, Longshal (Sarkin Yaki) and Dr Mathias Samu, Duam Japkwo Goeyil Goe Sampe’e.

The celebration, which is expected to draw a cream of personalities will feature a variety of dances from within and outside the Chiefdom.
