Anosike Chimobi, the suspected killer gang member who murdered Ahmed Gulak.

One year after, the police in Imo state under the leadership of CP Muhammed Barde have arrested one out of the two fleeing members of the notorious gang who killed Ahmed Gulak.

Gulak, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress was killed on his way to the airport last year.

Police public relations officer, CSP Michael Abattam who paraded the suspect alongside others who perpetrated various crime in the state, said his arrest was effected by the anti-kidnapping unit of the command.

It would be recall that the police had killed some members of the said gang, while two of them escaped during the gun duel on the same day they killed Gulak.

Luck finally ran out of one of the two fleeing members, Anosike Chimobi a 38 year old male could not escape the ever gallant team from the anti-kidnapping unit, consequently he was dislodged and arrested.

In his confessional statement, Chimobi, who is said to be a repentant IPOB-ESN member said he use to be their driver, he narrated how they double crossed Ahmed Gulak and shot him on his way to Sam Mbakwe international cargo airport in Imo state on the 30th of May 2021.
