Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has revealed that the state government is set to construct a state secretariat that will accomodate all ministries and MDAs in the state.
Governor Sule through the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Comrade Dogo Shamma on Tuesday explained that the new secretariat tagged ‘Legacy Project’ which will be situated in Lafia, the state capital will cost the state government the sum fourteen billion, seven hundred and nine million, seven eight thousand, two hundred and fifty naira and thirty one Kobo ( N14,709,78,250.31k).
The secretariat sited close to the state High Court and Assembly complexes, the commissioner said it is meant to bring all government offices to one place noting that, the new project has been captured in 2021 budget, which will be presented to the state assembly on the 17th of this month.
“The state Secretariat when established will have the sole purpose of conducting government businesses and shall serve as a one stop shop for the public to interact with the cooperatives of beurocratic affairs thereby facilitating the ease of doing business.
“Accordingly, a land measuring 180.88 hecters located along Shandam road Lafia, has been identified for the legacy project”, he said.
