Six new operational vehicles provided for the Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service.

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has provided six additional operational vehicles to Akwa Ibom State Internal Revenue Service, (AKIRS) to boost the operational effectiveness of the Service.

Executive Chairman, AKIRS, Sir Okon Okon, flanked by Board Members and Management of the Agency, unveiled the new vehicles after its 14th Board Meeting held at the Revenue House, Udo Udoma, Avenue, Uyo, on Wednesday 17th April, 2024.

Sir Okon said the State Government led by His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno will continue to improve on work tools and other resources available to the Service to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

He thanked Governor Umo Eno for equipping the service to deliver more.
“When added to our fleet, the vehicles will significantly improve our capacity to improve the IGR of the State. We sincerely thank the Governor for this gesture”, the Chairman said.

The Executive Chairman charged the management and staff to ensure the vehicles are well maintained and put into productive use.
