Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Umo Eno, has appointed a former Commissioner for Environment, Mr Enobong Uwah, Secretary to the State Government.
Until his latest appointment, Mr Uwah was chairman, Uyo Capital City Development Authority, UCCDA, agency in-charge of development control within the state capital, and secretary, Maintain Peace Movement, a political campaign group for Mr Umo Eno.
The Governor in a release signed by Permanent Secretary, Government House, Mr Nathaniel Adiakpan, on Tuesday 30th May also appointed an ace journalist, Mr Anietie Usen, as Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity; Mr Ekerette Udoh, Chief Press Secretary; Mr Otobong Udoidiong, Director of Protocol and Dr Uduakobong Inam, as Economic Adviser.

Mr Usen was the Director Media and Publicity for the Umo Eno and Akon Eyakenyi Campaign Organisation 2023.
He is top brass journalists, multiple award winning journalist, one of the pioneer reporters at Newswatch Magazine and author of Village Boy and Audacious Journalism.
Mr Ekerette Udoh, served the immediate past Governor as Chief Press Secretary for eight years.
