Seven persons on board a Nigerian Air Force aircraft, a Boeing 350 that crashed Sunday afternoon have died.
“The aircraft had a faulty engine”, a top- rank officer of the Nigerian Air Force told The Dune, and crashed close to the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport in Abuja.

Sgt Oluka, who were onboard the ill-fated flight have died.

Hadi Sirika, Minister of Aviation, confirmed the tragic incident, saying investigation is ongoing.
“A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls,” he tweeted.
The Nigerian Air Force spokesman, Ibikunle Daramola said in a statement that all seven personnel on board have died.
“First responders are at the scene. Sadly, all 7 personnel on board died in the crash,” Daramole said.
