Unidentified gunmen in large number suspected to be kidnappers have kidnapped the Nasarawa State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Philip Shekwor.
The incident which occurred on Saturday night by 11 O’clock has thrown residents of the location into palpable fear as the gunmen shot sporadically into the air until they took him away.

Confirming the incident to Journalists, Commissioner of Police in the state Mr. Bola Longe said that, “unidentified gunmen in large number stormed the resident of the APC Chairman in Lafia around 11 O’clock in the evening, last night and took him away to an unknown destination”.
He explained that immediately the information got to the command, personnel of the force were swiftly deployed to different forest locations in the state to ensure safe release of the APC chieftain by his abducted.
