Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Area (LGA) of Nasarawa State, Hon. Mohammed Ottos has said that, unknown gunmen have killed one person, abduct 10 others and injure many others in Kana town.
Ottos who was very emotional while speaking with newsmen on Tuesday explained that, the gunmen came from Kana Hill which stretches from Kana to Maraban – Udege, Onda, Agwada, Nasarawa Eggon to Wamba towns and after carrying out the act, they went back through the same route.
“It is confirmed that some gunmen stormed Kana town on Monday night. They intimidated the people by firing many gun shots.
“I condemn the act, I have visited the town to sympathise with the families of the slain, abducted and injured victims.”

“I commend the Guards Brigade 177 Battalion, Keffi who accompanied me to further build the villager’s confidence, and their pledge to do everything within their reach for the safe return of the captives.”
The Dune gathered that a pregnant woman was among those kidnapped.
When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Ramhan Nansel said, they were still gathering information about the incident.
