A commercial bank has shutdown temporarily in Jos, Plateau State, after a staff at its main branch tested positive with Coronavirus.
It was gathered that the bank’s premises was shut and decontaminated while all staff in the branch have been tested for COVID-19 and results are being awaited.
It would be recalled that the State government had raised concerns about the flagrant disregard of safety protocols and had threatened an extended total lockdown if citizens fail to comply with guidelines.

Men from government security agencies and local security groups are manning major roads to ensure citizens are with their facemasks and commercial vehicles and tricycles adhere strictly to safety protocols.
Relevant government officials could not be reached for comments about the reported case at the bank at the time of writing this report but the infected person had been moved to an isolation centre and contact tracing had began.
