Delta State Government has confirmed six new cases of the coronavirus in the state, bringing the total number of cases in the State to 57.

Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu confirmed the new incidents, saying the cases were recorded in Warri, Asaba, Udu and Agbor areas of the state.

Aniagwu said, “the patients are receiving treatment at various isolation centre in the State. Udu Local government area recorded two cases bringing the number of confirmed cases in the council to six.”

“Of the six cases in Udu, three patients have been discharged, two active and one death has been recorded.”

“Two cases were also recorded in Warri South LGA bringing the total to 14. Of the number five of the patients have been discharged with nine active cases. No death has been recorded in Warri.”

The figures further revealed that one case was recorded in Asaba (Oshimili South) and Agbor (Ika South LGAs respectively.

Oshimili South now has 11 confirmed cases while Ika South (Agbor) has a total of two cases.

According to the figures released by the Commissioner, Delta state presently has 36 active cases, 14 discharged patients and seven deaths as of now.
