Engr Godwin Etim, MD/CEO, Goddie Chemicals International Limited.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Goddie Chemicals International limited (GCIL) and Goddie Chemicals International UK Ltd, Engr Godwin Etim has emerged the 2nd Deputy President of Port Harcourt Chambers of Commerce, Industries Mines and Agriculture ( PHCCIMA ).

By this election, he is queued to take over as the President without any other election.

Engr Etim polled 56 votes in a keenly contested election in Port Harcourt, Rivers State to defeat his opponents, Chief Dan Harrison who scored 13 votes and Dr Maraizu Uche who got 11 votes.

The Akwa lbom born philanthropist from ltu local government area until his new position was an Exco member in charge of members Welfare.

In his speech after the election, Engr Etim who is also the Chairman, Godwin Etim foundation, his philanthropic platform, acknowledged the support and positive contributions of members who found him worthy of their votes thereby giving him the mandate to pilot the affairs of the association.

Engr Etim noted that their confidence in his vision and leadership will not be taken for granted.

According to him, winning the election was not just his personal achievement, but a collective victory, reaffirming his commitment to the promises made during his campaigns, pledging to work tirelessly to fulfil their shared visions as well as address issues that matters most to member businesses.

Engr Etim also pledged to bring his knowledge and experience in innovative business management to bear in the discharge of his duties, maintaining that PHCCIMA under his watch will witness commitment, inclusiveness, transparency and accelerated growth.

The bonafide son of Akwa lbom State further reiterated his determination to use his business travels, partnership and global network to reignite PHCCIMA’s International group travels and foster stronger relationships with first-tier embassies to unlock global opportunities for members.

To his opponents in the election, Engr Etim thanked them for their passion and for engaging in a fair and respectful campaigns, stating that their perspective have enriched and challenged them to think deeply about the associations needs and future.

While calling for unity, Engr Etim said determination and hope is the only catalyst to building a brighter future.

The 2nd Deputy President Engr Godwin Etim was yesterday awarded Fellow Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership by the European Global School University, Paris France.

Meanwhile, Engr Godwin Etim is the brain behind the Godwin Etim Foundation, a non- profit, non-governmental organisation that aims to transform lives of individuals and communities mostly in Akwa lbom and Rivers States.

Akwa Ibom North East Consultative Forum where Engr Etim is also a member has through her Administrative Secretary, Rev. J.B Effiong on behalf of the Leader, Senator Effiong Bob congratulated Etim on this very noble feat.
