Over 30 people have been injured and property worth millions of naira destroyed following a petroleum tanker explosion in Kutigi, Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria reports.

Most of the victims are currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital Kutigi, while about five others who are in critical condition, have been referred to the Federal Medical Centre Bida.
The incident which occurred after 10pm last night, affected several houses and leaving many travellers stranded.
