Following the successful outing of the All Progressives Congress during its national convention, a cultural group in Nasarawa state under the aegis of Migili Cultural and Development Association, has expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for his choice of Senator Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman of the party.
In a statement made available to our Correspondent in Lafia on Tuesday, President of the group, Philip Ajeh, said the APC national convention was successful because of the maturity exhibited by President Buhari.
He also commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for the fatherly role he played between the two former governors of the state, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Tanko Al-Makura, who were aspiring for the same national chairmanship position.
According to the statement, “The Migili Cultural and Development Association want to use this opportunity to thank President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Abdullahi Sule for their efforts in making sure that the APC convention was successful.

“As a group, we are happy that Senator Abdullahi Adamu finally emerged as the national chairman of the APC. We want to also commend Senator Tanko Al-Makura for being a dogged politician and for accepting the wishes of the party.
“While Adamu was in office as governor of the state from 1999 till 2007, he was able to build some tertiary institutions in the state, namely Nasarawa State University, Keffi, College of Education, Akwanga, Mustapha Agwai 1 polytechnic, Lafia, among other laudable projects in other sectors of the state’s economy.
“Senator Abdullahi Adamu also exhibited tremendous concerns and interest to the growth of the Migili nation in Nasarawa state during his tenure as governor and we want him to be assured of our support at all times”.
