A Warri based human rights lawyer, Barr. Akpomudiaga Odje, who was reportedly kidnapped on Sunday evening has been released.
Confirming the release, a friend and associate of Odje, Omes Ogedegbe, Esq told our correspondent that the lawyer was released on Sunday night, hours after he was reportedly abducted.
Ogedegbe said, “I have spoken with him.
I am happy to tell you that Barr Akpomudiaga Odje has been released and has been reunited with his family.”
He did not disclose whether ransom was paid for his release.
The Dune had earlier reported that the Warri based based human rights lawyer, was abducted at his chamber adjacent to Warri main Market, Delta State.
