Emmanuel Joshua, representing Zone 6 has emerged the overall best male in Judo competition at the on-going 13th biennial police games holding in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

Joshua won gold in both 60kg and open weight competition to emerge the best male in Judo.
“I give God thanks an glory. At first I didn’t believe I will make it to the finals. This is my first time participating in police games. I came out from camp in July. Training and seeing myself being released for the games was a surprise for me.”

“I have been training for Judo for about 10 years now. I have taken part in sports festivals and couple of championships but this is my first gold medal. And I feel super excited having it on my neck”, Joshua said.
In the female category, Vivian Oko, representing Zone 2 emerged overall best. Oko fought in the 78+kg and open weight and won gold in both categories.
