Despite the COVID-19 disease, plans are in top gear for the final of the Worlchad Super Cup 2020.
The super cup is organised by Worlchad Organization in collaboration with the Plateau State Football Association.
The event is scheduled for the month of September in Jos, Plateau State at a date to be announced when the Federal Government lift the ban on Sports.
In an interview with the Managers of the two participating teams, Skills FC of Kwara State and Nike Boys FC of Plateau State, the duo talked tough, vowing to go home with the coveted trophy.

Manager of Skills FC said: “As black lions, we will devour and beat Nike Boys FC on their own soil and bring the cup to Kwara State,” Mr. Danjuma Dewan, who manages Nike Boys FC answered, “I have confidence my boys will use Skillz FC for a training session.”
Besides the expected encounter between the teams, the Worlchad Super Cup 2020 also has a cash price of N500,000 to be won by fans in the Worlchad Fans Game.
The founder/CEO of the Worlchad Organization, Odeh John, would explain, “The Worlchad Fans Game is a giveaway initiative for the Worlchad Super Cup to reward fans and supporters of grassroots football and grassroots football clubs. Anybody, anywhere can logon www.worlchad.com/worlchadfansgame to play using their phones or laptops by predicting the number of goals to be scored by both teams, and we look forward to persons winning the cash price of N500,000. Beyond the thrill of winning such a big amount of money, we hope it will economically empower individuals and their families.”
On the motive behind organizing the tournament, he added, “It is an under-20 grassroots football competition and it’s primarily to scout for talented footballers, that is why we are streaming the match on our website and social media handles to enable scouts who may not be able to come to the stadium to watch these great players. We see them as stars and as icons.”
“They have the greatness and power to transform the world, that is why the slogan for the Worlchad Super cup is “Grassroots football. Grassroots power. Transforming communities. Transforming the world”. Referees from both states will officiate the match, this will ensure fair play and enhance the integrity of the match.”

On safety measures taken by the organization he noted, “The Chief Medical Director for the Worlchad Super Cup 2020, Dr. Fidelis Hoomlong and the rest of the medical team will be conducting every necessary medical examination on all the players before the match. Ambulance will be stationed in the stadium should there be any emergency.
“Hand sanitizers will be made available and the stadium disinfected before and after the match. The players won’t be allowed to hug, shake hands or hold each other, and they won’t be allowed to blow their nose or spit on the pitch. Fans may not be allowed into the stadium because of the Coronavirus pandemic. They will be watching, supporting and cheering their teams online.”
