Imo state government has disclosed that the revitalization of Avutu Poultry is one of its cardinal projects.
The Deputy Governor, Prof Placid Njoku made this disclosure while speaking during a reception at the palace of the traditional ruler of Avutu Community, Eze Able Chwuchwuocha where he stopped over en route his inspection visit to the Avutu Poultry.
He said the governor sent him for an on the spot assessment of the farm because of the plan of his government to revitalize it.

Njoku warned all who have stolen any equipment from the farm to return them before the security searchlight of the government fishes them out.
“After our inspection now, we will go back to seat down and redesign the project in line with the current realities. We will return to Avutu in a very big way”.
The deputy governor was accompanied on the visit by senior government functionaries, including; Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, among others.
