The Apostolic Church of Nigeria, TACN, Uyo field has honoured Prince Mendy Archibong, founder of Prince Archibong Life Foundation, PALF, as her Beacon of Light.
Prince Mendy Archibong is among the very few non-members of The Apostolic Church of Nigeria, honoured with the Beacon of Light award.
Beacon of Light is an excellent service and humanitarian award instituted by The Apostolic Church of Nigeria to honour individuals who distinguish themselves in their chosen career and service to humanity.
Prince Archibong who is the Managing Director of Goodtime Group of Companies, has made tremendous humanitarian outreaches mostly targeted at widows, orphans and youths through the Prince Archibong Life Foundation, PALF.

PALF has made interventions in areas of water supply in rural communities in Akwa Ibom State, grant to rural women to support subsistent agriculture, and education support to youths.
The award was presented to Prince Archibong by the Uyo Field Superintendent of The Apostolic Church of Nigeria, Apostle I. N. George, and the church council.

Apostle George in his exhortation on the theme, “Continue to shine like stars in the universe”, urged the honourees to
continue their service to humanity.
“Continue in your service as you have been doing. Do you not become weary, continue to do it, the Lord is keeping watch over you”, Apostle George said.
The Uyo Field Public service and thanksgiving service was instituted in 2016, as a means of “rekindling hope on our members who are great assets to God and humanity.”
The church council said the event is her “humble way of returning all the glory to God as well as committing (honourees) into His mighty hand for continuous protection, glorious uplift and all-round favour as well as counsel them on the need to be true ambassadors, not only of the Church but to Christ.”
Speaking with newsmen shortly after he received the award, Prince Mendy Archibong, said the recognition by the church will spur him to do more for humanity through Prince Archibong Life Foundation.
“This recognition means that God has seen our modest efforts and our contributions to humanity through Prince Archibong Life Foundation.
“We have made interventions in communities across the state in education, water, sanitation and hygiene, healthcare, boosting rural commerce through support to women in agriculture.”
Prince Archibong who was flanked by his wife, Mrs. Loveth, and members of his church, Abundance Palace Christian Center, Port Harcourt, said the recognition will spur him to do his utmost for humanity.
