By Marie-Therese Nanlong
Jos – A group is known as the Probity Tribe has expressed sadness over the wanton destruction of lives and property in Plateau State and called for community collaboration for vigilance and self-preservation.
This is as the Director General, of Unity Foundation, Abubakar Maidankali also frowned at the attack on “innocent people, particularly, the ugly situation in Mangu.”
The Probity Tribe in a statement issued in Jos and signed by Arch Nanpan Dafur decried the recent attacks on communities in Mangu, Barkin Ladi, Riyom and Jos South LGAs which left “hundreds of people dead and thousands displaced.”
The group called on “all Plateau native communities to brace up and collaborate vigilantly to preserve themselves against further attacks and harassment,” as members decried “the deteriorating security situation in the State days to the end of the Lalong administration.”
The group called the attention of Security agencies in the State to “up their game in other not to give the outgoing administration the colouration of an unceremonious exit,” adding that “all recent attacks were forewarned and the details escalated but it seemed no serious attention was paid to them until the enemies of Plateau State killed many and burned down their homes.”
