As part of its numerous community intervention projects, Prince Archibong Life Foundation has rehabilitated a water project in Nsit Ikpe community in Obot Akara local government area, Akwa Ibom State and restored water supply to the community.
The village head of Nsit Ikpe, Eteidung Effiong Isong, a member of the village council, Elder Okon John and councillor representing the community in Obot Akara legislative council, Mr. Ndunoabasi Okon Eshiet said the intervention by Prince Archibong Life Foundation has ended more than a decade of suffering endured by women and children in the community.
Nsit Ikpe community in Obot Akara ward 1, is the hometown of the Hon. Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Akwa Ibom State, Sir Monday Ebong Uko.
Eteidung Effiong Isong said access to water has been a huge challenge to households in Nsit Ikpe in the last 15 years.

Eteidung Isong thanked the Foundation for rehabilitating the water project and connecting it to public power supply, stressing that the intervention will ease the stress of trekking a distance to buy water by residents of the community.
The PDP ward chairman in Obot Akara ward 1, Mr Emmanuel Udom, the ward women leader, Obongawan Eno Udo Asuquo and an elder in Nsit Ikpe community, Elder Okon John and women of Nsit Ikpe poured encomiums on Prince Archibong Life Foundation for repairing the water facility and restoring water to the community.
The councillor representing Obot Akara ward one, Mr Ndunoabasi Okon Eshiet recalled that the water project in Nsit Ikpe was initiated by Sir Monday Ebong Uko when he served as Vice Chairman of Obot Akara, saying that the water facility has been out of use for about 15 years before the intervention by Prince Archibong Life Foundation.
Mr Eshiet thanked the International President of Prince Archibong Life Foundation, Prince Mendy Archibong, for obliging his appeal to revamp the water facility and restore water supply to the community.
“For about 15 years this water facility was not functional and I understand that it is sometimes difficult for these women to have N20 to buy a jerrycan of water, that is why you see this number of women come out and the village council to rejoice and thank our son Prince Archibong for this wonderful gesture.”
The councillor lauded the foundation’s community intervention projects such as the micro-credit grant given to female farmers in Obot Akara local government area in February.
Handing -over the water facility to Nsit Ikpe community, the international president of Prince Archibong Life Foundation, Prince Mendy Archibong, represented by Mr. Saturday Udo, encouraged the village council, youths and women of the community to protect the facility jealously.
Last year, Prince Archibong Life Foundation under its health, sanitation and hygiene programme rehabilitated a water facility at Obot Atan community and supported Ikpe Usung Ita community to repair its water facility too.
