• Surrender all illegal firearms to police
Zamfara State Police Command has intercepted three persons in possession of illegal firearms in Gusau the state capital.
Radio Nigeria reports that the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Shehu Muhammad said the suspects were arrested at Lalan area in Gusau while on transit to Kogi state in a white golf car.

According to him the arrest followed an intelligence report about suspects who were arrested by a team of Police under the “Puff Adder” operation.
He noted that those arrested were from Maradun local government area of the state.
Shehu said that the firearms recovered from the suspects includes; four locally fabricated guns, cutlasses and axe.
According to him when interrogated the suspects said they were hunters and have been in the business for over a decade.
The PPRO said the suspects would be charge to court after investigation.
The command therefore warned those in possession of illegal firearms and ammunitions to surrender them to the nearest police station or face wrath of the law.
The PPRO also urged the residents of the state to continue to corporate with police by giving them timely and credible information to ensure crime free Zamfara state.
