The Nasarawa State Police Command said it has arrested one Mr Alaga Solomon Ali who is alleged to have raped one of his pupils in the school he teaches, Sudan United Mission (S.U.M) in Obi Local Government Area of the state.
Police Public Relations Officer ( PPRO) ASP Ramhan Nansel explained that immediately the police received information on the incident, the Force sprung into action to ensure that the culprit was arrested in order to carry out a thorough investigation.

“On 16/08/20, a case of rape was reported that, one Mr Alaga Solomon had on 14-8-2020 lured and unlawfully had canal knowledge of a 15 year old girl at Agwatashi, Obi LGA of Nasarawa State.
“Upon receipt of the information, the Police went after the suspect and arrested him.

“The commissioner of Police, Bola Longe has directed that the case be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia for a more thorough investigation.”
The Dune gathered that Mr Ari allegedly sent the victim to get a broom from a classroom after closing hour when he followed her and unlawfully defiled her.
A source who pleaded anonymity said that the suspect was fond of defiling under aged children.

“The suspect is happily married and has children but he is fond of defiling people’s children. This is the fourth time he did such a thing since he returned from Lagos State,” he said.
This newspaper learnt that the act was reported to the chairman of Obi local government, Alhaji Muhammad Iymoyga Oyigye who notified the police of the incident.
