Suspected criminals paraded by the police in Nasarawa State.

The Nasarawa State command of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested twenty-six suspected criminals for committing various crimes across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Ramhan Nansel, made the disclosure while parading the suspects in Lafia on Wednesday.
Among those paraded are five suspected kidnappers who had been terrorizing residents of Wamba LGA of the state.
According to the PPRO, the suspects recently kidnapped two people from the area and held them hostage for some days, but after painstaking efforts of the officers of the command, the victims were rescued unhurt.
He said, “Based on credible intelligence, on 23/05/2023 at about 4pm, a team of Mobile Policemen attached to Operation Restore Peace, stormed a kidnappers hideout located at Ambaka village of Farin Ruwa Development Area in Wamba LGA of the state.

“They were able to rescue two kidnap victims who had been held hostage for some time now, and arrested five kidnappers namely: Sale Adamu 34years, Idi Halilu 27years, Abdul Sale 20years, Mallam Gambo 48years, and Goma Halilu 20years, all males of Ambaka village.
“The suspects have confessed to be responsible for series of kidnapping at Ambaka village and environs.”
DSP Nansel further commended the police officers attached to the Anti-Kidnapping unit of the command, led by SP Lapshak Lenka, for working tirelessly to keep the state safe from kidnappers and all other criminal elements.
Also, the PPRO paraded 13 suspected cultist who had been harassing and intimidating residents of the Karu LGA of the state.
He said, “Recently, based on a tip-off, Police detectives attached to Masaka Division raided a hideout of Neo-Black Knowledge cult group located at Koya Village, Masaka, Karu LGA, where the following suspects namely: Michael Felix, Gabriel Seth, Gideon Gambo, Michael Dauda, Sule Angel, Adingu Favor, Phillip Joseph, Adeboye Babatunde, Victor Abire, Patrick Joe, Ambrose Thankgod, Israel Joel and Usman Jibrin were arrested.
“A thorough search was conducted on them where one locally fabricated pistol, three 9mm live ammunition, two axes, and dangerous charms were recovered from them as exhibits.”
While warning criminals to leave the state without further delay, DSP Nansel said the Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Baba, had directed that the suspects should be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia for a thorough investigation into their cases.
Our correspondent reports that 497 ammunition, three firearms, among others were recovered from the suspects as exhibits.
