Jos – Residents of Plateau State have been cautioned to imbibe high sanitary condition as the cholera disease ravaging the State is yet to abate.
In the last two months, the State has recorded 953 cases of Cholera, 14 deaths while 29 more people are currently being treated in hospitals.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Nimkong Lar who confirmed the development stated that 910 victims have been treated and discharged in 13 out of the 17 local government areas of the State.

Lar noted the disease, which was previously recorded in Jos North Local Government, later spread to 13 local Government areas but the required concerted efforts are ongoing to address the situation.
Although the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) was in the state to support in the handling of the outbreaks, the Commissioner urged residents to be cautious about the sources of their water and handle their fruits with care to avoid being victims.
