The Permanent Secretary, Office of the Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Mrs Imaobong Okon has officially resumed duties with a call on staff to wear their cap of integrity, humility and wisdom for quality service delivery.

The Permanent Secretary in her maiden meeting with management and staff of the office, 8th June, described the Office of the Secretary to the State Government as the engine room of government that operates on the foundation of high service delivery protocol, charged staff in the office to apply teamwork approach and cooperation in delivering on Governor Umo Eno’s vision for the State as contained in his Arise Agenda.

She described the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah as a man filled with passion for quality service delivery, reiterated for utmost commitment to duties from staff in the office.

According to her, to achieve the tasks staff must exhibit the scriptural guides in Proverbs 11:2-3 which anchors on lowly wisdom, integrity of the upright but frowning on perverseness of transgressors that leads to destruction.

“I thank God for His grace that we are meeting here today for the first as I resume duties in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government as the Permanent Secretary, she said.

“As we start, let us work with integrity, humility and wisdom as the Bible in Proverbs 11:2-3 says because by so doing, the tasks of this office would be achieved; remember also that, one of the ministerial demands of this office is that of maintenance of high level of government protocol as the engine room of government. ”

“While I charge you all to work collectively, please endeavour to be guided also by the hierarchical rule of the civil service, she added.

While setting the tone for the meeting, the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mr Eniefiok Matthew had welcomed and introduced the Permanent Secretary to the staff and pledged readiness to work with her for the success of the office.

Mr. Matthew appreciated staff in the office of the Secretary to the State Government and called on them to co-operate and work for the success of the Office and the administration of the Governor Umo Bassey Eno.
