Toluwalope Jombo – Akure
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state has inaugurated a 39- member State Executive Committee being the outcome of its State Congress held at Solton Hotels, Ijapo Akure on Tuesday, 4th August, 2020.
Of the 39 State Executive Committee positions, 37 were resolved through consensus while two were contested.
The state chairmanship and deputy chairmanship positions were contested.

At the end of voting, Hon. Fatai Adams polled 1,343 votes to emerge chairman of the party in the state, while his challenger, Arole Dennis Alonge polled 369 votes.
Apostle Tola Alabere also emerged as the new State Deputy Chairman. He defeated Dr. Benson Eniku who contested the position with him.
The swearing of the new Executive Committee was graced by the immediate past State Chairman, Engr. Clement Faboyede, the PDP Flagbearer for the 10th October, 2020 Gubernatorial Election, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, Board of Trustee Member, Ambassador.
