The new GOC 63 Division, Brigadier-General Abdulrahman Idris being welcome to Delta State by his predecessor.
A new Brigade Commander, Brigadier-General Abdulrahman Idris, on Monday officially assumed duty at the 63 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Asaba, Delta State.
Idris took over from Major-General Ibrahim Jallo, who was recently redeployed as General Officer Commanding, (GOC) 6 Division of the Army in Portharcourt.
Before his redeployment to the 63 Brigade, Idris was at the Department of Army Administration, Nigerian Army Headquarters.

Delivering his farewell speech, the immediate past Brigade Commander, and General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army, Major-General Ibrahim Jallo, described his stay at the 63 Brigade as very successful and thanked the officers and men of the Brigade for their support and cooperation.
Jallo said under his watch, the Brigade delivered on the mandate of ensuring that all formations and units under his command performed under the acceptable standard of professionalism.
Jallo who called on officers and men of the Brigade to give the new Brigade Commander the same support they gave to him, stated that he was optimistic that his successor (Idris) would consolidate on the achievements on the ground to make officers and men of the Brigade better personnel of the Army.

Responding, Brig-General Idris thanked the GOC for his outstanding accomplishments while he served as Brigade Commander.
He assured that with the support and cooperation of the officers and men of the Brigade, he would take the deliver on his mandate.
