Nasarawa State House of Assembly has promised to give the state football club, Nasarawa United the needed support to ensure it meets global standard.

Chairman House Committee on Youths and Sports Hon Salihu Iyimoga representing Doma North, stated this on in Lafia when the state commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Othman Bala Adams led other management team of the ministry for 2020 Budget performance at the assembly complex.

He emphasized the need for the commissioner and his management team and other stakeholders in the sporting industry in the state to come together and fashion out ways to get the sector lifeline.

On the issue of autonomy for the club, Iyimoga said is not an issue to rush but study carefully its advantages and disadvantages before taking any action to that effect just as he assured of the committee’s readiness to do everything humanly possible to intervene in seeing that most of challenges facing the ministry are address.

He emphasized the need for unity and understanding among them especially the management of the ministry to achieve optimal result.

On his part, the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Dev. Othman Bala Adams spoke extensively on the successes achieved and challenges of the ministry.

He revealed a five year policy drive aimed at turning around the activities of the ministry.

Contributing,Chairman Nasarawa United Football Club Isaac Danladi advocated for partial autonomy for the club to enhance its performance just as he pledged total commitment to give the club more life.
