The supervisor for manpower development in Ikot Ekpene local government council, Akwa Ibom state, Prince Samuel Ukut, has called on youths in the area to enroll on masse for the N-Power programme.

Ukut said N-Power which is a national social investment programme of the federal government provides eligible applicants employment opportunity.

Briefing youths of Ikot Ekpene local at the council secretariat where the council was helping qualified youths to register for the N-Power programme, Ukut said the programme is all inclusive and does not differentiate those with formal education from those without it.

He said the council decided to make the registration process open so that every youth can benefit from it.

“As a council, we are dedicated to promoting every policy that seeks to enhance manpower development and provide job opportunities for our teeming youth population.

“N-Power has been applauded as one of the social investment programmes of federal government that has really touched the grassroots and transformed lives of young people”.

He said the registration exercise is free and, will run for some weeks, starting from Tuesday, urging youths to spread information about the exercise to every young people whether graduate or non-graduate to take advantage of it.

“The director of administration of Ikot Ekpene council will inform you where you will pick the form. And, the technical team will always be at hand to assist with the registration process”, Ukut said.

The council vice chairman, Hon. Precious Udoh, who represented the council chairman, Hon. Unyime Etim, was on hand to endorse the forms, laying credence on the exercise.
