The corpse of the Nasarawa State chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Mr Philip Shekwor has been found in a bush close to his house.
Shekwor who was kidnapped at about 11p.m on Saturday was killed by his abductors.
A physical check at his house shows that the abductors cut the burglary on a window in Shekwor’s house and forcefully entered the house while people were sleeping.

Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Bola Longe told newsmen on Sunday at the scene of the incident along Kurikyo road, Bukan Sidi, Lafia that the party chairman has been found dead.
According to Longe, “from what we have seen so far since yesterday, the intensity of bullets matched on the house and efforts to gain entrance into the house, everything is pointing irresistibly to the fact that it was more than kidnapping.
“Where we found his body is too close to his house. When a kidnapping is carried out, it is for profit making but within a twinkle of an eye the man was killed and there was no demand whatsoever, I believe it is assassination.
He explained that the Police force will not rest as thorough investigation will be carried out to give the force all the necessary clue on what exactly transpired.

It would be recalled that unidentified gunmen in large number suspected to be kidnappers stormed the house the APC Chairman, Mr Shekwor on Saturday night by 11pm shooting sporadically into the air and abducted him to an unknown destination.
