The Paramount Ruler of Obot Akara local government area, HRM Okuku Uwa Umo Adiaka, has strongly recommended the front-line aspirant for the Ikot Ekpene federal constituency seat, Prince Mendy Archibong, for the federal constituency seat in 2023.

Prince Archibong is the founder of Prince Archibong Life Foundation, a non-governmental organisation providing succour to women and communities in Akwa Ibom state.

Speaking on Friday, 1st April, when Prince Archibong and his Uforo Ntó Annang campaign organisation consulted the monarch, Okuku Adiaka said Prince Archibong can be trusted.

“I am telling the people of Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara conference district (federal constituency) to trust this one (Prince Mendy Archibong).

“Prince has demonstrated love his for community with the little wealth he has gotten by God’s grace; he has shared it with the people, if he has greater grace, he will help more people”, Okuku Adiaka noted.

The Paramount Ruler said the aspirant has shown courage by stepping into the race and seeking to represent the people of Ikot Ekpene, Essien Udim and Obot Akara in the green chamber, advised him to go about his consultations peaceful.

The Director General of Uforo Ntó Annang campaign organisation Mr. Victor Udofia, who is a former chairman of Essien Udim local government area and former President of Ikot Ekpene club said Prince Mendy Archibong represents the hope of the people who are living in despair.

He said the record of community service of Prince Mendy Archibong is unmatched and clearly shows that Archibong is selfless, caring and interested in the development of his community and the growth of his people, attributes he said are needed in a representative.

Prince Mendy Archibong who anchors his aspiration on the theme of wealth creation said he will open avenues to lift hundreds of people from the federal constituency out of extreme poverty.

Archibong thanked the senator representing Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district, Senator Chris Ekpenyong for seeking to attract a College of Agriculture to Obot Akara, saying that such project will open up the area, saying that he will attract complimenting projects that will create jobs and businesses for the people of the federal constituency.

He equally lauded the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Elder Monday Uko, for the leading roles he has played in the development of Obot Akara particularly for road projects, school intervention projects and other life-touching interventions to Obot Akara.

Prince Archibong thanked the traditional father for the confidence reposed in him and promised that he will not disappoint the people of Ikot Ekpene federal constituency when given an opportunity to serve.
