Mrs. Seinye Lulu-Briggs has flared up over what she calls undignified repatriation of the remains of her late husband, High Chief O. B. Lulu-Briggs, by her stepson Dumo Lulu-Briggs, to Nigeria late into the night.

Mrs. Lulu-Briggs said she was surprised at the casual notice by her stepson, the embattled Chairman of Platform Petroleum Limited, Dumo Lulu-Briggs via his WhatsApp status, that the body of her husband High Chief O. B. Lulu-Briggs was ‘repatriated’ into Nigeria in the dead of the night via cargo and without the dignity that the celebrated statesman deserves.

The widow in a statement by her spokesperson Oraye St. Franklyn, served up on her Facebook page said the repatriation of the corpse of the Late High Chief Lulu-Briggs which was also communicated on Monday by Dumo Lulu-Briggs, to his siblings beggars belief.

The statement was published alongside a portrait of the Late High Chief Lulu-Briggs with a quote “I wish to be buried…and for my wife Seinye to play a prominent role in my funeral.”

Mrs. Lulu-Briggs said she wondered why the return of a man such as the High Chief Dr. O. B. Lulu-Briggs, who towered highly and impacted many both locally and globally, would be shrouded in secrecy and his body smuggled into town unceremoniously, rather than marked with dignified and respectable solemnities that he deserves.

She alleged that Dumo Lulu-Briggs, hated his late father and his memory too, hence his decision to smuggle the body of the highly respected High Chief into Port Harcourt.

Mrs. Lulu-Briggs urged his stepson, Dumo Lulu-Briggs to fix a date for the burial of his late husband.
