A primary health care clinic in Anguwan Rimi community in Jos North local government area has been sealed as three health workers working in the Centre have tested positive to the COVID-19 disease.
Management Committee Chairman of Jos North local government area, Shehu Usman disclosed the affected staff were treating a patient who showed symptoms of malaria but it was later discovered the patient had contracted the COVID-19 disease.

He stated that after series of tests three out of the 15 Health Workers at the Centre tested positive of the disease and called on all health personnel in the area to be cautious henceforth when handling any patient.
Philip Eplong, a Senior Information Officer who accompanied Usman on an inspection of level of compliance to COVID-19 safety protocols in the area in a statement noted that the affected staff have been quarantined while the 12 who tested negative are being isolated for monitoring.

However, the local administration in Jos North has commenced the enforcement of the use of face masks in the area as councillors, supervisory councillors, and the task force team are on strategic locations to ensure full compliance with safety protocols even as an appeal has been made to citizens to change their attitude and make the use of the face mask as one of their daily wear.
Usman called on citizens to work across party lines, religious beliefs and any other difference and unite to defeat
the virus transmission in the area in line with the COVID-19 safety protocols, stressing that anyone found without face mask will be punished.
