The Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Council, Hon. Henry Jan Gotip who was abducted on Tuesday 6th September 2022 from his home at Kwang has regained freedom from his abductors unhurt.

Although the Police have not confirmed the development multiple sources say, Hon. Henry Gotip has since reunited with his family.

We had earlier reported that The Executive Chairman of Kanke local government council of Plateau state, Mr. Henry Gotip, has been kidnapped by yet-to-be-identified gunmen, multiple sources confirmed.

Although one person claimed it was his twin brother who was abducted but it was gathered that Gotip, who is also the Secretary of ALGON in Plateau State was abducted when the armed men invaded his house in Jos in the early hours of Wednesday, shooting to scare his family members and neighbours before whisking him away at about 1 am.

Although the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Alfred Alabo could not confirm the incident as calls to all his known phone numbers were not answered, some prominent sons of the Council who declined to be named said they have heard about the incident but were yet to get details.

Also, the Member representing the Kanke constituency in the State House of Assembly, Wallok Goma told Vanguard on phone, “I heard about it
yesterday night. I had an assignment from the House that they asked me to compile, I just collected the document now. I want to go to his house to meet with the family to get details from them.”
