Gunmen have reportedly abducted a Warri based human rights lawyer, Dr. Akponudiaga Odje Esq.
The Dune learnt that the incident occurred late Sunday evening.
According to sources, “the legal practitioner was abducted at about 6:30pm on Sunday at his chamber near main market in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
“Reason behind his abduction is unknown.”

When contacted for comment, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe in a telephone chat with our correspondent confirmed the report.
“Confirmed, the information reaching us is that he was abducted. The police are investigating the matter”, the Police spokesperson said.
It was unknown at the time of fielding this report whether the abductors have contacted the family of human rights lawyer.
